Biblical Phronesis Podcast
About Biblical Phronesis (BP)
Biblical Phronesis (BP) is a Christian educational podcast designed to equip believers with practical, actionable wisdom for navigating leadership, life, and faith. Rooted in Scripture and supported by contemporary leadership thought, BP focuses on developing leaders who are spiritually grounded, emotionally intelligent, and strategically positioned to influence their world for Christ.
The podcast addresses a growing gap in Christian membership retention, particularly among professionals who desire relevance in modern leadership contexts while remaining steadfast in the faith. Through carefully curated, script-based, nonfiction episodes, BP explores biblical leadership principles that strengthen character, competence, credibility, commitment, and courage. These themes are woven together with essential virtues such as integrity, trust, reputation, self-discipline, a positive attitude, and servanthood, forming a golden thread of authentic and transformational leadership.
Each season integrates insights from best-selling leadership literature with biblical narratives, offering listeners practical frameworks for living out their Christian witness in workplaces, institutions, churches, and public spaces. By merging contemporary case studies with scriptural models, the podcast answers one critical question:
How can Christian leaders who aim for heaven remain relevant, effective, and influential on earth?
BP serves as a dynamic platform for professionals who desire to lead like Jesus—leaders who embody spiritual conviction, ethical clarity, and kingdom-focused excellence in every sphere of influence.

Responding with Self-Control | BPS9 E03
Title: Responding with Self-Control: David’s Restraint Toward Saul
Anchor Text: 1 Samuel 26:9
Contemporary Quote:
*"You can’t control someone else’s behavior, but you can control how you respond to it." — Roy T. Bennett
David’s self-control set a precedent for all leaders. He didn’t confuse opportunity with divine permission. He understood that timing, motive, and method matter to God.
In leadership today, self-control is required in boardrooms, pulpits, group chats, and personal conversations. When you are falsely accused or undermined, self-control means choosing silence over slander, wisdom over reaction.
This week, ask yourself:
- Where am I most tempted to lose control—in speech, emotion, or behavior?
- Who or what pushes my buttons as a leader?
- How can I rely on the Holy Spirit to strengthen my self-control?
