Fruit of Resentment | BPS9 E09

Title: The Fruit of Resentment: When the Wound Festers
Anchor Text: 1 Peter 2:1
Contemporary Quote:
*"Resentment is like setting yourself on fire and hoping the other person dies of smoke inhalation." — Saint Augustine

Resentment in leadership manifests as:

  • Passive-aggressiveness toward authority.
  • Cold detachment in relationships.
  • A growing sense of injustice and entitlement.

Ask yourself:

  • Is there unspoken resentment in my heart—toward a leader, a friend, a system, or even God?
  • Am I isolating myself emotionally while appearing present in service?

Today, choose the path of release. Name the resentment. Surrender it to God. Reconciliation may not be immediate, but healing can start now.
